Maddog Motors is run by Christian, a Lakeland native who started by selling his own well-kept cars and never stopped working on them.

How the parts business works

We buy wrecked, flooded and unwanted cars at salvage auctions and bring them to the shop on South Combee Road. Every usable part comes off by hand. It gets cleaned, checked on the bench, photographed and listed on eBay, usually within the week. Buyers get eBay's protection and free shipping on most parts. Local buyers can pick up at the counter.

Because we only sell what we pulled ourselves, we know the car each part came from, how many miles it had, and what condition it was in. That is why the listings carry a stock code and why the parts pages group by the donor car.

What "tested" means

Electrical parts are checked for power and function before they come off the car where possible. Mechanical parts are inspected for cracks, wear and leaks. Glass and body parts are checked for chips and straightness. If something is not right, it does not get listed. Our eBay feedback, 99.7% positive across 396 ratings, is the record.

Dry ice cleaning and builds

The same shop does dry ice cleaning for collectors and restorers who want an engine bay or undercarriage clean without water or chemicals, and the occasional build, from engine swaps to a Toyota pickup with a carbureted Chevy V8.
